Out with the old. In with the new. Welcome 2009.

2008 definitely has been a year of many blessings. I must admit that it started off slightly rocky when I realized that law school was no longer for me, but it was a blessing in disguise. God revealed to me my new career path as a nurse. Working toward that goal has given me a new sense of achievement and happiness. Although I am apprehensive for the application process, I know that the Lord will deliver me to the nursing program of His choice. Besides school, 2008 brought me closer to my family. I finally found the time to do my part for the family business. Working with my dad, mom, and sister was interesting....I actually mean to say STRESSFUL...but I gained a new-found respect for my mom and sister. My relationship with J only continued to grow in love, laughter, and most importantly friendship. Like any relationship, the universe threw obstacles in our way, but each time we prevailed. I think the most impacting event in 2008 was when I agreed to become one of the Youth leaders for my church. Being responsible for the well-being of 30 something hormonal, rebellious pre-teens and teenagers has not been an easy task, but it has been fulfilling. It warms my heart to see their progress, and I know that 2009 will help the ministry to grow.

All in all, 2008 was a year of enlightenment, growth, and love. I can only imagine what 2009 has in store for me.

Happy New Years!
