First, I'd like to announce that I've found my date to Disneyland! Mickey Mouse, here I come!
Although I received good news in regards to D.land, I also got my share of bad news as well. I recently found out that one of my best friends of 8 years will be moving this Saturday to Phoenix, Arizona. Her company has plans to expand there and offered her the opportunity to assist with the start up. She first came to me for advice because she felt divided. My first instinct basically advised her to turn to God for answers. My friend had her quiet time. The Lord confirmed her move. I was sad and happy at the same time. Sad to watch a friend leave. Happy to see her thrive in her career. I grew less sad because I thought I'd have time to spend with her before her departure, but she is leaving this Saturday! She's been packing up her entire life for the past week. I honestly don't know how to feel at the moment. Her move came so suddenly that I feel some what numb to the entire situation. This person has been my rock for so long. She cradled my head when I cried hysterically and made me laugh so hard to the point where my stomach ached. Most importantly, she NEVER left my side when EVERYONE decided to walk away. Watching a friend leave isn't the easiest task......*sigh

The Happiest Place on Earth
I don't know why, but I have this secret desire to go to Disneyland some time in the near future. I believe that the reason for my recent want is due to my throbbing uterus. Children look so happy when they catch of glimpse of Mickey or Minnie. Ahahahaha! On a serious note, I always grew up with great memories of Disneyland. Spending hours with friends and family, walking through the park with a surprise at every corner, going on the different rides, seeing all the characters personified, eating the enormous turkey legs and pickles, and watching the entertaining shows. I guess I'm urning to relive my childhood since I only seem to be growing older by the day. Who wants to come with me to the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH?

Rain, Rain go away?
For the past couple days, we've been flooded with rain storms. I hear people to my left and right constantly complaining about the weather, but I can't help but feel the opposite. I enjoy the rain. To me, it's perfect weather. Rain is hot chocolate, curl up with a good book, hide under your covers, and watch a classic movie weather. It gives individuals the opportunity to just stay home (which is rare nowadays), relax, and listen to the pitter-patter of the raindrops. I've always been a homebody. First, by force. Now, by choice. I think many people take home for granted. In lieu of the rain, just kick back, relax, and enjoy the show.

Valentine's Day
After being M.I.A. for months, I am officially back on the mic. Last semester proved to be one of my most challenging obstacles in my academic career. I must say that I'm quite disappointed over the results, but I would not change any of the decisions I made. I plan to redeem myself this spring semester which seems to be starting on a good note. Enough about school....
Last weekend, J and I celebrated the sacred, hallmark holiday of Valentine's Day. We as a couple do not promote made up holidays, but since it fell on a weekend, we used it as an excuse to have a night on the town. Our day started off with a visit to a hotel in Pasadena. Left me breathless and excited....hehehehehe. We then trucked our way back to the valley for dinner at Vino. Food, wine, and entertainment definitely left me wanting more. I must say that J did indeed stumble upon a hidden treasure. After dinner, we went to the Laugh Factory for a late show. To sum it all up, we witnessed a drunk heckler get booed out of the venue, saw Dane Cook make a surprise appearance (I must admit seeing him did make my uterus skip a beat), and watched a man named Sinatra (enough said) propose to his girlfriend. The Laugh Factory was on point!
P.S.-I think I spent majority of my Valentine's day watching couples act lovey-dovey and laughing inside my head. 1.) I despise PDA. I reached my limit on Saturday. 2.) I think people don't need a designated holiday to show their love and appreciation for their spouse. It should be year-round.
