Valentine's Day

After being M.I.A. for months, I am officially back on the mic. Last semester proved to be one of my most challenging obstacles in my academic career. I must say that I'm quite disappointed over the results, but I would not change any of the decisions I made. I plan to redeem myself this spring semester which seems to be starting on a good note. Enough about school....

Last weekend, J and I celebrated the sacred, hallmark holiday of Valentine's Day. We as a couple do not promote made up holidays, but since it fell on a weekend, we used it as an excuse to have a night on the town. Our day started off with a visit to a hotel in Pasadena. Left me breathless and excited....hehehehehe. We then trucked our way back to the valley for dinner at Vino. Food, wine, and entertainment definitely left me wanting more. I must say that J did indeed stumble upon a hidden treasure. After dinner, we went to the Laugh Factory for a late show. To sum it all up, we witnessed a drunk heckler get booed out of the venue, saw Dane Cook make a surprise appearance (I must admit seeing him did make my uterus skip a beat), and watched a man named Sinatra (enough said) propose to his girlfriend. The Laugh Factory was on point!

P.S.-I think I spent majority of my Valentine's day watching couples act lovey-dovey and laughing inside my head. 1.) I despise PDA. I reached my limit on Saturday. 2.) I think people don't need a designated holiday to show their love and appreciation for their spouse. It should be year-round.
